Recently, I was contacted by Sock Guy. The art director had the great idea to have sock monkeys made from some of their sock, for their next catalog. They had me make up a sample sock monkey from the "Hottie" socks.

I think she came out pretty cute. What do you think? :)

A first for me! I got an order for a sock monkey and a matching hat and scarf for the human friend.

I had to model it before it went into the box. :) I wish I'd taken a shot of them together not on the me and the monkey.

Seems like I haven't finished a sock monkey in ages. I am so glad to see this girl make her way to her new home! I love how the hair came out. :)

My brother has recently started designing paper craft stuff. One of his first creations was inspired by sock monkeys.
Needless to say, I love them and think they are awesome. :)

Just finished my 5th Portland Marathon. :-D
Boy... am I glad to be done. I had a great time.
At mile 5, I passed Jeff Galloway... that was soooo cool :-D
He is one of my favorite writers from Runners World, it was very cool to be running right there with him.

At mile 13 or so I passed Congressman Earl Blumenauer - the only reason I know that is cause the back of his shirt said, "You just passed Congressman Earl Blumenauer. I chuckled at that. And then about a mile later something weird happen. I passed a rooster as it crowed.  I have passed farm animals during races before.. but they were on farms, this little guy was just standing in the middle of nowhere on the side of the road.
Did I say I'm glad to be done... well I am. :) Can't wait for next year though!!!
