I love seeing vintage crafts. Especially up close.
Recently, I was sent a very cute monkey that needed to be rebuilt.
Luckily- I had the technology.

You can see even in the before pictures she is a beautiful piece of work- just a bit torn up.

Recently, I was contacted by Sock Guy. The art director had the great idea to have sock monkeys made from some of their sock, for their next catalog. They had me make up a sample sock monkey from the "Hottie" socks.

I think she came out pretty cute. What do you think? :)

I am "buying" $1000 in Google and Apple today. I will check back with both of these stocks once a week to see what I'm "making" on these two stocks. :)

Today Apple closed at 127.35
Google closed at 439.84

So I "have" 7.85 shares of Apple
And only 2.27 shares of Google

and Intel at 21.20

So he has 16.37 shares of XTO
and 47.16 shares of Intel

A first for me! I got an order for a sock monkey and a matching hat and scarf for the human friend.

I had to model it before it went into the box. :) I wish I'd taken a shot of them together not on the me and the monkey.

I have registered for a very unique race and I am so excited!!!

I have wanted to run the Walt Disney World Marathon as soon as I knew they had one. (about 8 years ago)

Three years ago, due to popularity and congestion, the Disney folks put the half marathon on Saturday and seperated it from the full marathon. When they did this they figured out that some folks would be 'Goofy' enough to do them both. Being the marketing geniuses that they are- they made that a seperate event, namely, Goofys' Race and a Half Challenge.

Now that just tipped it from something I want to do- to something I really wanted to do! So, we are plunking down the huge $$$ and we are going to WDW for the race next year. :D

btw- I AM REALLY EXCITED!!!!!
